This morning we left Falling Waters State Park. I lived only an hour away from this park for almost ten years and never knew it was here. A 75 ft tall waterfall in Florida!! Who knew! The trick is, it’s a deep sinkhole and the creek drops straight down into it. 😀
The campground is clean and has a really nice trail leading down to the lake and on to an overlook of the waterfall. There’s another trail leading from a different parking lot to an even better view of the waterfall, where we walked partway down into the sinkhole and got up close to the falls and could look straight down into the deep hole and watch the water as it drops out of sight. Worth the visit!!

We also visited Florida Caverns State Park. I knew about this one and had visited before, but they seem to have done a lot of improvement since I was last here. The cave tour is not as fancy as some bigger caves I’ve been in, but for Florida, it’s not bad. Also worth it if you’ve never been.
