January 22… The Great Blizzard of ‘25

Snow in Florida, how crazy is that? And lots of it!

The day after we left home two weeks ago (has it really only been two weeks?) it snowed a lot. I was kinda sad to have missed it, but not any more. Five inches of snow at Panama City Beach!! That’s so crazy to me.

We took my sister’s advice and went to see the beach covered in snow. Debbie, we didn’t make a snow castle but Susy and I did throw some snowballs at each other. 🥶

We were supposed to check out this afternoon and head to our next place, but we got a message that due to the blizzard, all reservations there for tonight have been cancelled. 😮

We immediately checked with the ranger here, and “fortunately” all reservations at this park for tonight have been cancelled too, so we get to stay here another night. Easy. Sometimes bad, sometimes good, we have to learn to absorb and overcome, so this was an easy lesson for us.
