Packed up the house at Palmetto Island State Park, west of N’Awlins (New Orleans, for all you non-travelers 😆). The park had some good and a little not so good. GREAT place for riding the bikes, ok place for trail walking (not hiking, I don’t hike), and paddling, but mosquitoes in February? Not so good. Susy is a walking pin cushion and lost at least two quarts of blood. And the roads getting to it…. did I mention the roads suck around here?
Easy drive to our next place (and actually not such bad roads, once we regained the interstate), only scheduled here for a couple nights, but already wishing it could be a bit longer, it looks like a really nice park. Oh well, enjoy it while we can and put it on the list for a re-visit someday.
Some activities planned for tomorrow will see Susy firmly out of her comfort zone. More about that tomorrow 😁😁.
