February 19…. Putting the PAIN in propane

OMG it’s cold out there. Again. Temperature has dropped almost 40 degrees since yesterday. Low of 22 this morning and supposed to be colder tonight. We (mostly) finished up the front propane tank yesterday, and I switched to the full back tank before bed, so we didn’t run out overnight. Used almost 25% of a tank in just one night, just keeping the trailer at 62 degrees. 🫨

Tried to go to a gen-u-wine Texas honky tonk last night to take some line dancing lessons. Turns out I have three left feet and two of them face the wrong direction. I am not cut out for that activity. Either that or I didn’t drink enough first. 🤔

Oh, and The County Line BBQ At The Lake…. highly recommend. I got the pork ribs, and their sauce is some of the best I’ve had at a BBQ place.

We’re moving again today, leaving McKinney Falls State Park outside Austin. Beautiful campground, and GREAT park for walking and biking and close to the city for fun. Love Austin. (except all the dang toll roads). Definitely adding this place to our list to come back to. Someday.

Short drive, hoping the camper holds together, the bikes stay on the back, and the dishes stay in the cupboard. Always seems to be something.

Oh the RV life! Sounds like it’s fun and games everyday until you run out of propane 😃. As for your three left feet…I saw your skills at Sara’s wedding. I’m sure you crushed it! P.S. Didn’t comment on your last posts…but I can “hear” Suzy’s laugh as she bike’s. Kind of like a song the rings in your head (in a good way).

  2. FYI, if the electric is included in camping fee, buy a couple of small plug in heaters, it will warm your whole place without using up your propane 😜❄️

We have an electric heater we use sometimes for the bedroom at night. And a heated blanket. Then we have an electric heater fireplace in the kitchen. It’s not like an insulated house.
