We went to San Antonio yesterday afternoon. Visited the Alamo, one of the key places in Texas’ fight for independence from Mexico. The grounds were beautiful and they do a good job of explaining the history before and after the battle. One of the docents inside the church, Miguel, does a fantastic job explaining and dramatizing the story.
Afterwards, we went to the San Antonio Riverwalk. I HIGHLY recommend doing this if you ever make it to SA. Gardens, restaurants, bars, shops, people, just a fun area for an afternoon and evening. Take the boat ride with GO Rio River Cruises.
I might have gotten a little tipsy as we enjoyed the evening. Had to let Susy drive me home, my first time on the trip not behind the wheel. I gotta be more careful so that doesn’t happen again. 🤣
