We left Carlsbad NM this morning, from Coyote Flats RV Park. Not much to brag about there, but it was clean, in a good location, and a good price. Other than that, it was an RV parking lot. 🫤
Headed north in a 40 mph cross wind, being blown all over the road, until we finally turned west and then just faced a stiff headwind. Easier to drive, but tough on fuel economy. 7 mpg on the westbound leg. 🙁
Went through the Sacramento Mountains on US 82, through a tunnel, and popped out to a beautiful view.

A few more miles and we were out of the mountains in Alamogordo NM.
Oliver Lee Memorial State Park. We’re up on a hill overlooking MILES of desert, dust and cactus. Dust-nados twirling all over the place as we watched the sunset.

A couple different visits planned for the Alamogordo area, stay tuned.
