March 28… Not feelin’ it. Maybe?

Went into Sedona again and walked (not hiked) the Boynton Canyon trail and up to the Boynton Vista and our first vortex. It was kinda funny, when we started out from the trailhead, I looked up at two spires WAY WAY up from where we were, and made a joke to Susanne that we were going up there. As we went further and further, those spires got closer and closer until we actually did get up to them. Crazy! From the bottom, it looked like 500 ft straight up, but somehow it was pretty easy.

When we reached the right spot, we followed the directions to the vortex itself.

What is a vortex? Sedona vortexes are said to be swirling centers of energy conducive to healing, meditation and self-exploration. Places where the earth seems especially alive with energy. People feel inspired, recharged or uplifted after visiting a vortex.

I can’t say I felt recharged or uplifted, but I DID make it up that 500ft climb with little effort, so who knows?

After a little shopping in Sedona, we made it back home, and felt inspired to recharge in a way more conducive to healing our weary bones… a hot tub. 😀
