May 27…. Yakity yak

Cindy and Bayo left us this morning to head back to Atlanta, after much banging and crashing around, going in and out of the camper, slamming doors and sounding alarms. At 4:30 am. I’ll miss them. Yea. 😉

Susy and I slept in a bit today, then spent a leisurely afternoon at Lost Creek Lake. Really nice park here, with picnic areas, places to swim, and easy launching the kayaks.

It reminds me a bit of paddling around Lake Lanier back home, but the surrounding hills are a bit bigger, a bit drier, and we can see all of the huge snow capped mountains around us in the distance.

Funny part, we kept running across floating rocks. Yes, rocks that float.

Pumice stones, evidence of the volcanic history of this area. Breaking loose in the Rogue River and finding their way into the lake.

This retirement stuff is tough sometimes.
