The holiday started with a call from Lindy, a friend back home, to let me know our gang was booking campsites for July next year and to remind me to jump fast. Done deal, our first campsite for 2026 is booked and waiting.
That got me thinking of all our friends and family back home. I miss all of you. Still not enough to quit this journey and go home 😁, but looking forward to catching up with you all when we do make it back.
Susy and I went to the fireworks show in Coos Bay Oregon last night.

Odd to be watching 4th of July fireworks wearing hoodies and shivering, instead of sweating to death. This was my first fireworks show in quite a few years, we’re usually camping with the gang.
Susy started the day today in a very ambitious mood. Decided to wash the camper 😮. Ladders, buckets, hoses, the whole kaboodle. After washing the huge quantity of bugs and road grime from the front of the rig, and sweeping the roof and washing skylights, going up and down that ladder, she decided to make it a multi-day job and quit for the day.
10 seconds later, I looked over and she’s washing the truck. And then shampooing the bathroom rug. She doesn’t stop. Like a machine. She works so hard to take care of all our gear, I can’t say enough about her. Love you baby!
Just an easy day around camp for me. Assisting Susy, fetching and moving the ladder around, catching up on a few maintenance tasks. Cooked dinner and now enjoying sitting around the fire. Nice day.
Happy Fourth of July to you all. 🇺🇸
