July 12…. Dueling Pianos

Started the morning by hiking to a few waterfalls. Pretty easy, a couple miles and only a couple hundred feet of elevation.

McDowell Creek Falls, Royal Terrace Falls, and Majestic Falls. Only pics of the second two, McDowell falls wasn’t so impressive.

In the evening, we finally had another night out on the town. Susy found a show, dueling pianos, tributes to Elton John vs Billy Joel, in Eugene OR.

First, a fantastic Italian dinner at Placido. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Eugene. 

Susy made me dress up 😉. I got to wear my dress shoes for only the second time all year, but oh my! Susanne was gorgeous.

We arrived in time to get seats right up by the stage, with our own little dance floor on the side. Cause of course, Susanne made me dance. 😉

Fortunately for me, there was another enthusiastic young lady in the crowd who also liked to dance, so she helped fill Susy’s dance card and gave me a break.

A fun evening out, just to mix it up with all of the natural splendor.
