Today’s the day. I knew it was coming but this is it. I don’t want this, I’m not going to enjoy it, you can’t make me.
This is the last few hours of our adventure. In a couple hours, we’ll pack it all up and head out to go “home”.
But THIS is our home now, wherever we park it. The adventure, the anticipation, what’s around the next corner, what will we see, what will we do next?
They say that all good things come to an end. I refuse to believe that. Our adventure is not ending, it’ll just be on pause for a bit.
This year was a trial run. Will we love the nomad life or hate it? Do we have the right stuff onboard? Can we afford it? No matter how many plans are made, or budgets written, or preparations done, there’s always that doubt. Are we ready? Are we ready “enough”?
So many questions, but at least now we have real answers. We love this nomad life! We do have the right stuff and if we don’t, there’s a place nearby to get it. If we have to sell a couple kidneys to afford this, so be it. We are ready!
Let’s go back to the house, take care of business, and then hit the trail again. Where to? Not sure yet.
I want to go to the Outer Banks. Susy wants to see Niagara Falls. Take me to the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Let’s go rockhounding on the shores of Lake Michigan. Yosemite. Sequoia. Acadia. Maybe even all the way to Alaska some day. Can we get the camper to Hawaii?? 😯
The adventure isn’t over if we don’t let it be.
Where’s the best place YOU’VE been? Send me suggestions, I’m ready to start again.
