We left Sam Houston Jones State Park in Lake Charles Louisiana this morning and made it to Galveston. I can definitively say now that the Texas DOT could kick the crap out of the Louisiana DOT in any sort of competition. Crossed the border into Tejas and life (the road) is good again. Made it out to the island and BAM, there’s the beach. This one has waves, much unlike the Mississippi coast.
Lots of exploring to do, we’ll be here a whole week. 😎
