It was raining and freezing all morning, and I finally got stir crazy enough to just go make the best of it. Walked out the door and almost fell down the stairs. They were covered in a slick coat of ice. So was the truck.
Drove to Pedernales Falls State Park nearby. AWESOME place, if you ever get a chance to go. The Pedernales River runs thru the park and drops across a large limestone escarpment, carving channels and pools and making a great place for rock hopping. Easy walk from the parking area down to the falls, just don’t cross the river or you’ll get “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law”. Signs everywhere saying the other side of the river is private property. My opinion, if you buy land nestled up against a popular state park, you better just plan for a bit of buffer zone.

Went on a long walk (not a hike, remember, I don’t hike) on the correct side of the river after leaving the falls. A couple miles following the cliffs beside the river and then winding up into the hills.

After coming back to the camper, Susy did some laundry then forced me to play Rummikub again for the eleven-bajillionth time. She’s a game fanatic, and the main game we both like seems to be Rummikub. 😄 I have to let her win a lot so she doesn’t get cranky. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🤣🤣
