They call it the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. I mean, it’s pretty good, maybe not “grand”, but I’ve been to the REAL Grand Canyon and it’s not that. Still, it’s worth the visit.
This is where the entire park draws its name from. The Yellowstone River, flowing through the canyon. Yellow rocks from end to end. First mapped by none other than Lewis and Clark (remember them?) on the return part of their voyage of discovery. Two really nice waterfalls, Susanne was definitely feeling the love that day.




The way all of the overlooks were named by the old timers that first discovered the falls and canyon…. Inspiration Point. Grand View. Artists Point. Such grand names. Very artistic and inspirational.
