March 17…. Hello??!?

So, in the middle of the night, we crossed a timeline and rolled the clock back an hour as we crossed into Mexican waters and into Central Time. Which just meant I woke up REAL early.

I stayed quiet, sneaking out of bed for a bathroom break and back in so as not to disturb Susanne.

I lay in the dark, reading my Kindle and scrolling on my phone. And suddenly, a noise at our door. AND THE DOOR OPENED UP! WTF!!

In the pitch dark, I saw a figure sneaking through our room! “Hello, who’s there?” I said, reaching for something, anything, to throw or try to defend us with.

Then Susanne says “It’s me” and I almost fell out of bed. I had been laying there for over an hour and never even realized she wasn’t beside me. 🤪🤪

She had woken up even earlier than I had and had dressed and gone wandering the dark, quiet ship.

I should have not said Hello, and just thrown my shoe. 😉
