Ok, so I take back all the snippy remarks and jokes and sarcastic comments about Susy’s rocks. (For now 😁) This time she struck it rich!
Before we came up here, we had seen and read about sodalite and yooperlite rocks. Rocks that fluoresce under black light. So before we left home, I bought her a UV flashlight.
Shortly after dark (which doesn’t happen till about 10:15 up here 😳), we were on the beach with her invisible flashlight shining it up and down the shore, and shazam! They lit up!
Once we got home, we laid everything out on the counter and they just look like everyday rocks, nothing to write about. But turn off the lights and hit them with a black light and boom!

No idea if these are worth any actual money, but to Susanne, they’re worth more than solid gold. 😁
